Artlog Recap - July 2026
This is something new I'd like to try, where I go over the notable things I read/played/watched from my artlog. These will not be exhaustive reviews, just stand out pieces of art from the revious month.
Black Mamba, 2016, Directed by Belinda M. Wilson.

Home-grown horror filmed almost entirely on a green screen. Filled to the brim with crazy CGI and visual/sound effects. Extremely bizarre and wonderful.
Rated 3.5/5.
Rhythm Heaven Groove, 2026, Developed by Nintendo EPD, TNX & Intelligent Systems.

Brilliant and joyous from start to finish, everything I expected it to be and more. I was worried that the songs weren't catchy enough, but after getting all the medals and half of the perfects, so many are stuck in my head. Here's hoping it's not another 10 years for the next one! Rated 5/5.
DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations, 2026, Developed by id Software.
Going into the base of DOOM: TDA, I was always a bit worried. Eternal seemed the the logical end-point of the nu-DOOM experience, I mean what else could you do really? But, id Software still found a way to make something new, and kind of old too, what with the bullet hell type experience reminding me of dodging bullets in the original DOOM and DOOM II.
City on Fire, 1987, Directed by Ringo Lam Ling-Tung.

There is unfortunately not a lot I can say about this movie without spoiling significant plot points, but me and my friends had an absolute blast with this one.
Give the blurb a read, and if it sounds interesting, watch it tonight!
