Really annoying netizens
As we move on from covid and numerous children had their social lives completely ruined by the years of isolation, I have noticed a trend with young adults. I never really knew how to put it into words until I saw this tweet by user ByYourLogic.

It stood out to me. I remember growing up on the internet in the late 2000s and early 2010s and there being a certain type of respect. Of course, there were shitheads everywhere still, but I mean from the perspective of a child exploring what was a new wild west. I felt as if I had to behave myself and not annoy people if possible.
Now, if I'm honest, I'm not even sure what else I could blame. I don't have a lot in common with teenagers and people in their early twenties now, so all I can really pin it on is covid ruining those formative years of socialisation.
All I do know is, certain young people online are really fucking annoying nowadays. They will antagonise, 'ragebait', bathe everything they say in irony, but if you take them at their word and respond accordingly, they will fucking cry about it forever. This personality type is absolutely exhausting to be around, and I have to just hope that they will grow out of it. It's not even really their fault at the end of the day, but I'm fucking sick of dealing with children on the computer.
